the simplicity here is different and great because it adds to the melancholic mood. the only thing, is that i wish it were colored

main thing that throws me off, is the hair. looks a little unnatural and stiff, but otherwise, good entry

good shading. would have been nice to see more darks and contrast. it gets a little awkward next to the girl where there is that blank space

great technique: coloring, pose, composition, and anatomy. creative, original. nice color palette. overall, aesthetically pleasing. great presentation

8.[ghostiegirl] One side is yours truly in my normalness 9in my school uniform), the other side is moi as a super kewl elf warrior person! Eheh...looks kind of stupid compared to all this wonderful artwork...I have a lot to learn...

very nice entry. i like the costume design. would have been nice to see it full figure, both sides. very quaint. it'd be interesting to either have introduced shading with cross-hatching or have the coloring more basic and flat

2005-11-29 [deeterhi]: yeah, they designed it that way so that whenever you look at the can, you feel good. coca cola makes you feel good. in order to feel good, you must drink coca cola. the face is really a smile. it's a design thing. just like the arrow in the fed ex sign.

2005-11-30 [deeterhi]: it's on most cans, i think. i saw it yesterday while opening a can of sprite. when you lift the little tab and open it, you can see the tab as the eyes and the opening as the smile.

2005-12-04 [deeterhi]: it would be nice if it were of yourself but if it's someone you know, go ahead. as long as you follow the rules, it's ok

2005-12-04 [deeterhi]: the reference photo doesn't have to look exactly like your portrait. i just want to make sure it's the same person. so you can grab any old photo of yourself
